The Hildesheim Municipal Theatre was built in 1908 according to plans by Max Littmann. Since the 2007/08 season, the Hanover State Theatre has been integrated into it and is now called the Theater für Niedersachsen (TFN, Lower Saxony Theatre). The TFN performs at various venues throughout the state of Lower Saxony.
