The Great Orme Tramway (Welsh: Tramffordd y Gogarth) in Llandudno is a funicular railway consisting of a tramway and a mountain railway, both operated by traction cables. Despite its tram-like design, it is not a cable car, as the carriages cannot be separated from the cable during operation. This train connects Victoria railway station in Llandudno with the approximately 200-metre-high Great Orme (Welsh: Pen y Gogarth) on the peninsula of the same name. It was put into operation in 1902.

[Built in 1981 by Verolme Cork Dockyards Ltd for B&I Line as "Leinster", entered service between Liverpool-Dublin, and dublin-Holyhead from 1982. In 1993 she was renamed "Isle of Inishmore", and served on the Rosslare-Pembroke Dock route. "Isle of Inishmore" was amalgamated into the Irish Ferries fleet, receiving their green livery. In 1996 she was renamed "Isle of Inishturk" to release the name for the new "Isle of Inishmore". In 1997 was sold to Canadian owners for service as the "Madeleine".]

[Launched in January 1980 with the name "Visby" for Rederi AB Gotland (Sweden), in 1990 was chartered to United Kingdom based ferry operator Sealink British Ferries (and changed name to "Felicity") for service between Fishguard (Abergwaun, Wales) and Rosslare (Ros Láir, Ireland).]

[Built for Irish Ferries in 1995 to operate on the Holyhead - Dublin route, in 1997 she was moved to the Rosslare-Pembroke Dock service. Following the arrival of the "Ulysses" in 2001, either "Isle of Innisfree" was laid up and made available for sale or charter. She was chartered to P&O as "Pride of Cherbourg" from October 2002. On 28th September 2004, it was announced that "Pride of Cherbourg" was to be laid up or chartered out until mid-2007 when its charter expires, and took a short charter with Stena Line between February and June 2005 as "Stena Challenger", for service between Karlskrona and Gdynia. She was then chartered to Interislander for Cook Straits services in New Zealand as "Kaitaki", after travelling down temporaily renamed "Challenger".]
