The museum is housed in the former Visitation Convent in Romans. It was officially opened on 11 December 1971. In 2003, a "painting and footwear" department was created within the museum by purchasing paintings from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The museum houses and preserves approximately 20,000 pairs of footwear and accessories (shoe buckles, button pulls, etc.). Some 2,500 are on public display.

The Seoul Metropolitan Subway (수도권 전철) is a metropolitan railway system consisting of 23 rapid transit, light metro, commuter rail and people mover lines located in northwest South Korea. The system serves most of the Seoul Metropolitan Area including the Incheon metropolis and satellite cities in Gyeonggi province. Some regional lines in the network stretch out beyond the Seoul Metropolitan Area to rural areas in northern Chungnam province and western Gangwon Province, that lie over 100 km (62 mi) away from the capital. Its first metro line, Line 1, started construction in 1971 and began operations in 1974, with through-operation to Korail's suburban railways.

UGC is an operator of cinemas in France and Belgium, which in 2022 operated 57 movie theaters. It is also an important film production and distribution company. It was originally an exclusively French operator, founded in 1946 as Union Générale Cinématographique, privatized in 1971, which merged with several regional cinema companies that managed 22 cinemas. Currently only the initials are used. In Italy there were 4 UGC multiplexes, and in Spain, 5. UGC was also previously one of the main owners of cinemas in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The N Seoul Tower (N 서울타워), officially the YTN Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower located on the summit of Namsan Mountain (262m) in central Seoul. Built in 1969, the tower was completed on 3 December 1971. The third floor has a Korean restaurant, and a digital observatory with a 360° panoramic view that showcases Korea's history through 32 LCD screens. The seventh floor has a French restaurant, which rotates at a rate of one revolution every 48 minutes.

The Sea Venture was built at the Rheinstahl Nordseewerke shipyard in Emden, Germany, and delivered to Norwegian Cruiseships on 11 May 1971. It had a maximum capacity of 767 passengers and 301 crew. It was transferred to other shipping companies, and was finally scrapped in Aliağa, Turkey, in 2013.

The Semmering railway (German: Semmeringbahn), which starts at Gloggnitz and leads over the Semmering to Mürzzuschlag, was the first mountain railway in Europe built with a standard gauge track. It is still fully functional as a part of the Southern Railway which is operated by the Austrian Federal Railways. This railway line was constructed between 1848 and 1854 by some 20,000 workers under the project's designer and director Carl von Ghega. The construction features 14 tunnels (among them the 1,431 m summit tunnel), 16 viaducts (several two-storey) and over 100 stone arch bridges and 11 small iron bridges. Across an overall track length of 41 km the Semmering railway overcomes an altitude difference of 460 m.

The Mediterranean Highway or AP-71​ is a motorway axis that connects the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast from the border with France to Andalusia. It is part of the European Road Network known as E-15. Its length is 995.1 km. It was built between 1969 and 2007.

Built in the shipyards of the Unión Naval de Levante, in Valencia, this ferry was launched on 4 September 1971 and was initially intended to cover the so-called "blue highway" between Barcelona and Genoa (Italy). On 2 October 1972, incorporated into the Compañía Transmediterránea fleet, she began her journeys between Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, which were maintained until 2001. It had capacity for 1,000 passengers, 110 cars and 50 trucks or industrial vehicles.

The Ciudad de Compostela ship was built by the Spanish Shipbuilding Society in Sestao (Biscay). She was launched on July 2, 1966 and delivered to the Company on June 30, 1967. She had a length of 123.3 m and a beam of 19.2 m. Its capacity was 500 passengers. She covered the lines between Barcelona and the Balearic Islands, and occasionally also those of Barcelona-Canary Islands and Cádiz-Canary Islands. On January 26, 1992, she was sold to the European Seaways company and, under the new name of European Star and Valetta registration, she was delivered to the port of Tarragona, setting sail that same day. In Greek shipyards she underwent extensive reform. In 1994 it was renamed Saray Star by the Maltese company Libton Shipping Inc. On June 10, 1994, 28 miles north of Kefalonia en route from Piraeus to Venice, it caught fire, and on June 13 it sank in the situation 38º 48'N and 20º 09'E.
