The travel time over the total distance is just under an hour, it will serve 22 stations. Plans for a train already going back to the 1870s. At that time the plan was to connect to the station and the city center by means of a horse-drawn tram. As the costs exceeded the capabilities of the city, these plans were not implemented initially. On 1897 was signed between the Government and the trams Gotha an agreement to build an interurban railway. Three years later, the EAG received the concession for the railway. A total of nine routes were planned, but have not been realized. On 21 November 1911 was signed between the Duchy of Saxe-Gotha and AEG, a contract to build a cross-country electric power plant and the Thuringian Forest Railway. On 1912, the electricity supply company Gotha Thuringia. Works began in June 1914. They were interrupted by the First World War and the inflation and 28 only from the June 1928 continued. On 17 July 1929, the inauguration of the route included ten rail cars, seven motorcycles and one baggage car to the fleet. It has set a maximum speed of 50 km / hr. The Second World War spared the car for a long time. It was not until the air raids of the 6th February 1945 led to the suspension of operations. After it was blown up in April, the highway bridge over the Leina, there was a division into two sections. The operation on the two sections of the route could be taken only in July 1946. KÜHLUNGSBORN (German Democratic Republic). "Molly" train in the station Kühlungsborn-Ost. Postcard by VEB Bild und Heimat Reichenbach, 1/1725 11 28 A 1/B 93/64 (1964). Posted at Kühlungsborn on 09.07.1965.
[The Molli (German: Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn "Molli"; short: MBB) is a narrow-gauge steam-powered railway in Mecklenburg, running on 900 mm gauge track. It operates between Bad Doberan, Heiligendamm and Kühlungsborn West over a total distance of 15.4 km with a running time of 40 minutes. Within Bad Doberan the line runs through the street, and later along a linden tree-lined avenue. Between Heiligendamm and Kühlungsborn the tracks run parallel to the Baltic Sea beach across fields. The line between Bad Doberan and the seaside resort of Heiligendamm was opened on 9 July 1886, built and operated by the railway enterprise Lenz & Co. in Stettin (today Szczecin, Poland). On 1 March 1890 the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin took over the line and integrated it into the Grand-Ducal Mecklenburgian Friedrich Franz railway. The extension of the line to the Baltic Sea resort of Kühlingsborn, which was still called Arendsee at that time, took place on 12 May 1910. Starting from 1920 the line was operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (German Imperial Railway). In 1995 an operator company, consisting of the district of Bad Doberan as well as the towns of Kühlungsborn and Bad Doberan, took over the enterprise. Today the consortium calls itself the Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn Molli GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Doberan. The railway terminal at Kühlingsborn West houses the Molli-Museum. This railway company is not to be confused with the Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn AG, which opened the Rövershagen Kleinbf - Graal-Müritz line on 1 July 1925, running it until 1949 when the East German Deutsche Reichsbahn took over the enterprise.]

DEUTSCHE LUFTHANSA (DDR / GDR). IL 14 aircraft

DEUTSCHE LUFTHANSA (German Democratic Republic). Ilyushin Il 14 aircraft. Publicitary postcard Nº III/18 6 AG 721/59 DDR (1959).
[The Deutsche Lufthansa GmbH was founded in 1952 in the German Democratic Republic. This airline was 100% property of the Soviet occupation government. The aim was to claim to be the legal successors, and hence the ownership, of the former Deutsche Lufthansa AG created in 1926. Thus a flag for the East German Lufthansa was already adopted in 1952, even though at that time the company had not a single airplane. Legal litigation started in Bern in 1962 between East and West Germany over the trade mark Lufthansa. The court gave this name to the Federal Republic of Germany which implied that the East German airline had to change its name. This is how Interflug assumed also the regular flights and the East German Lufthansa ceased to exist. The Deutsche Lufthansa GmbH der DDR was dismantled in 1963 and its flag was abandoned.]
