The Costa Riviera was a historic cruise ship operated by Costa Crociere from 1984 until 2002. Originally built in 1963 as the passenger liner SS Guglielmo Marconi, she was rebuilt into a dedicated cruise ship and sailed Caribbean and European itineraries before being sold for scrap in 2002.

The Prinses Josephine Charlotte ferry, 113.05 m long and 15.97 m beam, with capacity for 100 vehicles and 700 passengers, was built in 1949 at the Cockerill Hoboken shipyard in Antwerp. She sailed the Ostend - Dover route from 3 June 1949, to 29 June 1952. After being sold to a Greek shipping company, she returned to Ostend in 1969 to cover the route between that port and Harwich (England). In November 1970, she was incorporated into the Sealink consortium. She was withdrawn from service in 1974, and on 8 March 1976, she was sold to the Blanca Shipping Company of Panama, which changed its name to Leto. In 1977, it was acquired by the Greek shipping company G. Kausouniadis, which renamed it Athens Express, which used it for domestic voyages and for routes from Piraeus to Cyprus and Syria. After several accidents, it was scrapped in Eleusis Bay, Greece, in 1984.

The Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) is a 1,520 mm (4 ft 11+27⁄32 in) broad-gauge railway line in Russia. Traversing Eastern Siberia and the Russian Far East, the 4,324 km (2,687 mi)-long BAM runs about 610 to 770 km (380 to 480 miles) north of and parallel to the Trans-Siberian Railway. A portion of the eastern route was the work of Gulag prisoners during the years 1944–1946. However, the majority of the line was built between 1972 and 1984.

The Pribaltiyskaya Hotel was opened in 1979. It was designed by architects N. Baranov, S. Yevdokimov and V. Kovaliova. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, it was renamed Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya.

The Voodoo Castle Museum was founded in January 2014 by Marie-Luce and Marc Arbogast and presents one of the most important collections of private Voodoo art in France. It is situated in the old water castle which was built in 1878 and listed as a historic monument of France in 1984. The collection consists of nearly 1060 Voodoo objects originating in Togo, Benin, Ghana and Nigeria. 220 of these pieces are permanently on display at the exhibition titled "Le Vodou, l’Art de Voir Autrement" [Voodoo as an Art to See Differently].

The Boeing 727 is an American narrow-body airliner that was developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. On 5 December 1960, the 727 was launched with 40 orders each from United Airlines and Eastern Air Lines. The first 727-100 rolled out on 27 November 1962, first flew on 9 February 1963, and entered service with Eastern on 1st February 1964. In 1984, production ended with 1,832 built. The Écomusée de l'Alsace, opened on 1st June 1984 over an area of 97 hectares, is the largest open-air museum in France where authentic Alsatian constructions forming a village have been transferred and reassembled: half-timbered houses, houses of workers, shop, town hall, fortified tower, village hall, farm, school, wash house, gardens, fields. In these generally old constructions (some dating from the 15th century), open to the public, traditional works of the region as well as crafts are presented.

The Manizales railway station building was built between 1926 and 1928 and was abandoned in 1959. After its rehabilitation and restoration, in 1984 it was declared a National Monument of Colombia.

The Trenino Verde della Sardegna ("the Little Green Train of Sardinia") is a rail tourism service operated by the Azienda Regionale Sarda Trasporti (ARST) in the island of Sardinia. It was used for the first time in 1984.

The TSS Earnslaw is an Edwardian twin screw steamer based at Lake Wakatipu in South Island of New Zealand. She was built by McGregor and Company in Dunedin, for the New Zealand Railways, and she was lauched on 24 February 1912. On 18 August 1912, the Earnslaw was fired up for her maiden voyage to Queenstown, with Minister of Marine John A. Millar as captain. After she worked ransporting sheep, cattle and passengers to the surrounding high country stations. In 1968, the Earnslaw was very nearly scrapped but she was fortunately rescued. She was leased by Fiordland Travel and later purchased by the same company in 1982. She was taken out of service for a major refit in 1984. She then she was put back into service carrying tourist passengers across Lake Wakatipu. It is now one of the world’s last coal-fired passenger steamers.

The Eugenio
C was an ocean liner/cruise ship originally owned by the Costa Line of Costa Crociere S.p.A.
Built by Cantieri
Riuniti dell'Adriatico in Monfalcone,
she was launched on November 21, 1964 under the name Pinuccia Costa Musso,
and she entered service on August 22, 1966. For 10 years she only operated
transatlantic voyages between Genoa and South America. In 1984 she was
completely renovated and renamed Eugenio Costa, a name she kept until
1999. Between that year and the following she sailed under the name Edinburgh
Castle; between 2000 and 2004 as The Big Red Boat II, and finally,
as Red Boat, was scrapped at Alang, India, on June 1, 2005.
It had a gross register of 32,753 tons, a length of 217.3 m (713 ft) and a
width of 29.3 m (96.1 ft). Its capacity was 1,636 passengers.

The
ferry Ciudad de Tarifa was built by the Unión Naval de Levante, in
Valencia, for the Compañía Transmediterránea. She was launched on October 7,
1959 and delivered on April 12, 1961. She was assigned to cover the lines of
the Strait of Gibraltar, especially between Algeciras and Tangiers, and
occasionally made trips between the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. On
March 9, 1984 she was sold to the Greek company Agapitos Brothers, from
Piraeus, who renamed her Apollon, and in 1985 she was renamed Corfu Island.
On May 20, 1986, while being repaired in Perama (Piraeus), due to an accident
it sank and could not be refloated: it remained 32 years under the waters of
the port of Perama, and was finally recovered on June 11 2018 to scrap it.
