The Círculo Amistad-Numancia, popularly known as "El Casino" or Casino Amistad Numancia, is the result of the merger of two centuries-old institutions. The first, the Casino de Numancia, was established in 1848, and the Círculo de la Amistad in 1865. Gambling played an important role, especially as a source of income. Its earliest statutes established the games (Tresillo, Malilla, Mus, Ecarté, Solo, Dominoes, Checkers, Chess) and the corresponding fees.
