This museum is dedicated to Jeju female divers and fisherwomen. Among other things, it displays boats and a reconstruction of a traditional fisherman's house. The museum is located at the same place where the women's divers movement was established to restore dignity and the right to life during the Japanese colonial period in 1932. Construction began on December 23, 2003, on a total area of ​​85,951 m², and opened on June 9, 2006. The museum not only presents the daily customs, beliefs, seasonal ceremonies, etc. of Jeju female divers, but also displays historical records, relics related to women, work, economy, the sea, religion, etc. of the island's traditional culture.
