- 4468 Mallard ("Pacific") steam locomotive built in 1938 for operation on the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) at Doncaster Works to a design of Nigel Gresley.

- Le Capitole was an express train between Paris and Toulouse in France. Introduced in 1960, it was operated by the Société Nationale des Chemins de fer français (SNCF). It was also the SNCF's first foray into high-speed commercial service above 160 km/h.

- Eurostar is an international high-speed rail service in Western Europe, connecting Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The Eurotunnel under the English Channel between Calais and Folkestone was completed in 1993 and officially opened on 6 May 1994. On 14 November 1994, Eurostar services began running from Waterloo International station in London, to Paris Nord, as well as Brussels-South railway station.

- A 1880s American train on the Philadelphia-Germantown and Norristown railway line.
