Tramway
The Lausanne tram network, consisting of six lines and a total length of 7.2 km, was inaugurated on 29 August 1896. It consisted of a circular line around the city center and five lines to the suburbs and the Saint-François railway station. The number of lines increased over the following decades. The last line was closed on 6 January 1964.
