LA SPEZIA, Italy. Railway station. Old colored postcard

LA SPEZIA
Stazione Ferroviaria
[Railway station]

Old colored postcard published by Ed. G. L., Nº 4601.

This station, called La Spezia Centrale, was put into service for passengers in 1887. The building is in the Umbertino style, a 19th-century style of Renaissance Revival architecture in Italy, typical of the eclecticism of late 19th century architecture and decorative arts in Europe, which mixes decorative elements from various historical styles. It flourished during the reign of King Umberto I of Italy.

Traveler's collection.
