The current Museum of Montserrat collects the artistic and archaeological heritage of the abbey. Its origin must be located in what was called the Biblical Museum, founded in 1911 from the materials of the biblical Orient brought by Fr. Bonaventura Ubach from his travels to Sinai, Jerusalem, Baghdad, Beirut and Cairo , which were reorganized following strictly archaeological criteria in 1962.
