The turboship Venezuela, built in the Cammell, Laird & Co shipyard in Birkenhead (England), was launched on 23 February 1924 and delivered to Grimaldi in August 1924. She had a capacity of 2,111 passengers. She was employed on the express line between Italy and Venezuela and Central America. In 1956 she was sold to the French firm Compagnie Generale Transatlantique, which changed her name to De Grasse. She ran aground and sunk off Cannes on 16 March 1962, she was recovered and scrapped at La Spezia the same year.
