Holland America bought her in 1972 and sent her to Germany for rebuilding. She emerged in mid June, 1973 as "Veendam", and after was renamed "Brasil". In 1976 she becamed the "Monarch Star". In May 1984, she was sold becoming the "Bermuda Star" for Bahama Cruise Line. Commodore Cruises purchased Bahama Cruise Line in 1989, and in September 1990, this ship was renamed "Enchanted Isle". In 1993, she was sent to the Baltic, and before becoming the "Hotel Commodore" in St. Petersburg, Russia. In August 1994, she was renamed "Enchanted Isle", brought to the United States, cleaned up, and took her position in New Orleans for the kind of cruises you may enjoy today.]
