TOULOUSE, France. Carrefour F. Roosevelt. Tramway & Café Glacier Albrighi (1940s)

TOULOUSE
Carrefour F. Roosevelt
Tramway & Café Glacier Albrighi.

Postcard publisher by Labouche Frères, Toulouss, Nº 28 (1940s).

The Albrighi is probably the first to polarize Toulouse life in the neighborhood. Built in the 1860s on the corner of Boulevard de Strasbourg and Rue de Bayard by the Italian pastry chef Antoine Albrighi, the establishment transferred to Place Lafayette owes its reputation to the “find” of his compatriot and associate Galilée who launched Neapolitan ice cream. The success was overwhelming for this frozen delicacy initially adopted by the Toulouse gentry.

Traveler's collection.
