The Linge Memorial Museum is a memorial to the First World War. The Linge was a battlefield around the Linge Pass, where a particularly deadly clash between the French and German armies took place between July 20 and October 16, 1915, resulting in approximately 20,000 casualties, including approximately 3,500 deaths on each side during the Battle of Linge. A war of position ensued, with skirmishes and artillery duels, lasting until November 11, 1918. The museum provides access to the remains of the battlefield, including trenches, bunkers, and more.
Merci à Gilles.
