The Pic du Jer funicular links the pilgrimage town of Lourdes with the summit of the nearby Pic du Jer, located at 951 m (3,120 ft) above the city of Lourdes. The funicular was inaugurated on 17 June 1900, and it was renewed in two reprises, in 1954-1957 and 1985-2007. Length: 1,100 metres (3,609 ft). Height: 473 metres (1,552 ft). Journey time: 15 minutes. Capacity: 80 passengers per car.
