Sporveien Oslo AS is a municipally owned public transport operator in Oslo, founded on 28 April 1924 as A/S Kristiania Sporveier (the company changed its name to A/S Oslo Sporveier in 1925 when the city changed its name from Kristiania to Oslo). It operates the trackage and maintains the stock of the Oslo Metro and Oslo Tramway. Since 2008 it has operated on contract with the public transport authority Ruter AS.
