Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park (富士箱根伊豆国立公園) is a national park in Yamanashi, Shizuoka, and Kanagawa Prefectures, and western Tokyo Metropolis. It consists of Mount Fuji, Fuji Five Lakes, Hakone, the Izu Peninsula, and the Izu Islands. Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, established on 2 February 1936, covers 1,227 square kilometres (474 sq mi).
Ōwakudani (大涌谷) is the area around a crater created during the last eruption of Mount Hakone some 3000 years ago.
