The 11.27 m lake ship Winkelried, with a capacity of between 700 and 1,200 people, belonging to the fleet of the Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees (Lake Lucerne Navigation Company, commonly abbreviated to SGV), based in the city of Lucerne, was put in service in 1963.
