The NGV Asco was a high-speed vessel built between 1994 and 1995 by the Leroux et Lotz Naval shipyards in Lorient for SNCM. Named after the Corsican river Asco, its sister ship is the NGV Aliso. Commissioned in April 1996 on the lines between Nice and Corsica, she sailed for SNCM until May 2005. She was subsequently operated by Greek companies, taking the name of Panagia Parou then Red Sea II before finding its first Greek name. Unused since 2012, the ship will finally be wrecked on April 20, 2017 in the port of Algeciras after being driven against the quay during a storm. Refloated, she was then sold for demolition in Aliağa (Turkey) in June 2018. Her length was 102 m and its width f of 15.40 m. It had capacity for 566 passengers and 148 cars.
