The Eugenio C was an ocean liner/cruise ship originally owned by the Costa Line of Costa Crociere S.p.A. Built by Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico in Monfalcone, she was launched on November 21, 1964 under the name Pinuccia Costa Musso, and she entered service on August 22, 1966. For 10 years she only operated transatlantic voyages between Genoa and South America. In 1984 she was completely renovated and renamed Eugenio Costa, a name she kept until 1999. Between that year and the following she sailed under the name Edinburgh Castle; between 2000 and 2004 as The Big Red Boat II, and finally, as Red Boat, was scrapped at Alang, India, on June 1, 2005. It had a gross register of 32,753 tons, a length of 217.3 m (713 ft) and a width of 29.3 m (96.1 ft). Its capacity was 1,636 passengers.
