Ship "N. A. Coneau", in service between Matane and Godbout, Québec (Canada) in the St-Lawrence river. Postcard by UNIC, Montreal, RF-778 / 5322.
[This ship was built in Greenock Scotland for the "Traverse Matane-Godbout Ltée" to do the passenger/car ferry service between Matane and Godbout, Québec, Canada. She was named in honour of Mr. Napoléon Alexandre Comeau, a pioneer in exploration of St Lawrence river north shore. The ship started her service in 1962 and was brand new at the time, and operated until the spring of 1974 when a bigger ferry, the "Camille Marcoux", was added to the run. The company decided to sell "N.A. Comeau" who went to "Northern cruise Ltd" of Newfoundland, Canada, and she was renamed "Northern Cruiser" and stayed there for a few years. After, she was sold to a company of Florida, USA, and renamed "Xanadu Holiday".]
