The Montafon Railway is a 12.717 kilometer long standard gauge branch line linking Schruns and lower Montafon with Bludenz. The line was inaugurated on 18 December 1905. It was one of the first electrically operated mainline railways in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In April 2005 the centenary was celebrated with an exhibition of modern and historic locomotives.
